Bored now.

Finally got in Control and Quis Custodiet, read them on Saturday. Very awesome, loved the new shorts. The 1st person POV was a bit of a surprise, but it was interesting to get B-C's POV.

Unfortunately, now I've ended up the the dreaded Land of Boredom. I have homework I should be doing, but I keep procrastinating, so, yeah, that's not happening.

(Also I have to get up early tomorrow morning & have blood taken at 9 in the morning. And I have to walk to the lab. Blech.)

No new Merlin this week, which is just depressing. I really like the bigger role they've given Morgana, hope they keep it up through the season.

That time of year

I have come to the conclusion that it is well past time to do a reread of Petshop 1-10.

I shall attempt to do this slowly, reading no more than one volume a day.

Shadow Magic. . .

I HAVE IT!!! I have it in my hands!

Bwahahahahahahaha!

*sticks out tongue at the Bookshop of Fail*

ETA: Read it. Very awesome. Very sleepy now, so I'm not going to make any real comments. Maybe tomorrow.

Half Blood Prince

Saw HBP tonight. Tom Felton was really very impressive. Overall, was pleased with it, though not ecstatic. Death Eater masks continue to irritate me. Didn't feel it was very clear spoilers! )

Loved the Hermione & Harry BFF moments - really well done.

Alan Rickman was awesome, but nothing new or notable about that, lol.

:D

Bought the Director's Cut version of Watchmen. It's got a lovely little Rorschach/Dan moment that wasn't in the theatrical release. :D :D :D

Watchmen Fic Rec (of the Dan/Rorschach variety):

"Now, As Before" by Etherati
:: Zombie!AU - cracky premise, serious execution. Takes place before the Keene Act. Awesome. Got some nice illustrations, too.

. . .

. . . One of these days I'm gonna go back and rewrite (or at least touch-up) the crappiest of the crappy fics. One of these days.

Dean/Cas icon used for no other reason than that it's the newest, and I'm in a Dean/Cas kind of mood.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll love you, tomorrow, it's only awaaay~!

So, Corambis should arrive tomorrow, unless I miss the delivery. (Also, Turn Coat, but I sense a great lack of caring from you all about that.) I was hoping it woulod get in on Friday, but no joy . . .

I watched a movie called Big Eden the other day. Fan-freaking-tastic. Definitely a feel-good movie, but one with genuine artistic merit. The Small American Town is improbably willing (and eager) to accept and matchmake for its newly returned prodigal son who likes to think he's still in the closet. And Pike is just adorable. And kind of heartbreaking. Anyways, I recommend it highly.

In other news, the cold that's plagued me horribly (haha! see what I did there? i so funny.) for the last week is finally showing signs of going away. Hurrah.

Karate tiem naos!

Started going to karate again tonight, after being away for five freaking years. The result? PAIN. Had to walk home in the cold nasty darkness with wet hair from all the sweating and that was unpleasant. I ran a hot bath to help stave off tomorrow's inevitable stiffness, and dropped in a bath bomb from Lush. yuuuuuum. Read a bit of Mind Fuck while I relaxed (I have two copies, one good copy, and one for bathes and bus trips and other book-damaging things so that I can read it whenever/wherever the fuck I want, thank you very much.) I always, ALWAYS forget how freaking amazingly well done it is and how much I love it. I didn't even get to the sexy bit, and it still gave me the happies. After getting out of the tub, I had some frozen yogurt. :D

. . .

Of course, none of this compares to the fact that my own little fuckingdarling uke, aka [insanejournal.com profile] cheloya, got her paws on a copy of Corambis a whole week early. (>_<) Death, death to you!

I think I'm going to go off and rant for a little while.

Corambis!

Hah! I can get properly excited now! Two weeks until Corambis is releeeeeeeased! *happy dance*

In other news, still not finished The Project Of Doom. (approximately 68% complete; 6 hours till midnight.) I am, however, much refreshed, and I've figured out *what* to write for one of the nasty tricky sections, so it hopefully won't be impossible.

I really must learn not to procrastinate.

Erase last 100 pages or so! NOW!

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!

That is NOT how it ends! Not even remotely how it ends!

*fumes*

(I'm speaking of Fool's Fate right now, by the way.)

It's just . . . ARGH! *bashes book against wall repeatedly*

Someone ([insanejournal.com profile] cheloya!) tell me a different ending. Don't need to write it, just tell me a different ending. Please. Or I shall go mad, and have this hideous FALSE WRONG BAD BAD ending stuck in my head forever.

ON NOES!

Went to the bookstore (with money I really don't have, seeing as the hydro bill is due) to get the next 6 books. (all in stock according to website)

. . .

Ship of Magic was disappeared! Probably on the wrong shelf or sold earlier today.'

Seriously, of all 6 books to not be able to get, it had to be the first one.

*wallows*

Would it really be wrong to skip ahead to the Tawny Man trilogy? Or should I wait until I can read the Liveship Traders trilogy first?

I want me my Fool, dammit!

Also: Uke still not forgiven. Uke DOES NOT introduce seme-sama to fanfictionless fandoms. BAD UKE!
