So, my university has been on strike for the last month, but it was called off finally on Sunday. It's back to work now - I've got to get my CREW assignments done and portfolios put together.

*headdesk* Why do I always do this to myself?

2 x 750word play reviews due tomorrow morning. I can hardly remember the first play, as I saw it two frigging months ago. How is it suddenly the 31st? Last time I checked it was a week ago, and I had plenty of time! And then I have a 7-page self-critique due thursday night, and a self-assessment thing too . . . I am such a procrastinator.

Hah! I can get properly excited now! Two weeks until Corambis is releeeeeeeased! *happy dance*


In other news, still not finished The Project Of Doom. (approximately 68% complete; 6 hours till midnight.) I am, however, much refreshed, and I've figured out *what* to write for one of the nasty tricky sections, so it hopefully won't be impossible.

I really must learn not to procrastinate.

So, one of my monday classes has been canceled. Was it the early morning one that I hate dragging myself to? No, of course not. It was the late afternoon class. *grumble*

I don't *want* to go to sleep right now. I want to stay awake another 3 or 4 hours, sleep through my classes, and ignore reality. I really don't want to wake up early to finish the assignments I've put off, even though I had a three day weekend to work on them. I fucking hate that I'm so weak-willed that I can't force myself to do a 30-minute assignment until 20 minutes before class starts. I want to be able to sleep when I'm tired, and not have to drug myself insensate on pills to get to sleep at a "decent hour" so I can actually wake up in the morning and get to school. I don't want to have to keep a calendar of what pills I take on what nights and how many, just so I don't get addicted. I want someone to nag me in the morning and force me to get up, so I go even when I've only had an hour's sleep so I don't miss so many classes by sleeping in. I want to sleep for as long as I'm tired, and stay awake for as long as I'm not; screw the 24-hour diurnal cycle of planet Earth. 28 hours would be way more appropriate. It's almost one in the morning, and I'm in a bad mood.

Last day of classes now; I just have my 3-hour Anthro lecture at 6pm, and then I'm FINISHED! Well, except for the exams, but whatever.

I am *so* tired; I can't wait to be able to sleep in again. I don't think I've gotten more than 4 hours a night for the last two weeks.


Blurg. So, catch-up news: finished Nano on time (just by a couple hours . . . eep!) and am now revising. I think I might cut out the first 23k entirely, and just expand the stuff that happens in Ribanoak . . . the travelling part is pretty dull overall, and doesn't have much significance to the plot. So far I've written a new first scene, changed the history of Jorna and Jorna & Rulik's friendship. I really, really, want to get this written, but I'm so lacking in energy right now, thanks to the Term Papers of Hell. Maybe over the break. I'm still having a bit of awkwardness with the point of view - I don't know what it is, but it's bugging me majorly and slowing down the writing process. It seems so far that the only improvments to the second draft will be plotting, not narration.

I'm considering cutting out Rotam entirely - I don't like writing her, so she always comes out as rather 2-D. It's too bad, though, I enjoyed the dynamic . . . maybe I'll keep her as a side chara?
