15 minutes into Dogma: Huh. Actually, I have watched this movie before. Go figure.

. . . Why was I supposed to watch it, now?

...because it's awesome? No? It's one of my favourites, although I could be biased. Alan Rickman does that.

Meh. I liked the Metatron, of course, since AR is awesome, and I liked Loki & Bartleby, but otherwise . . . meh.

I mean, seriously? A shit monster?

And er, since when was it a deep dark secret that Mary & Joseph had kids? And they wouldn't technically be related to Jesus anyway. And the Bible never said that Jesus & the apostles were white, only artists and clergy ever did.

I'm all for the perversion of scripture, but this was like . . . fake perversion. And it wasn't even the *good* kind of perversion, like with Jesus screwing Judas or angelic orgies or demonic tempters or other such lovelies.

So, yeah . . . my response: "Meh."

Awww, okay. <3 Admittedly it was probably the first deconstruction of scripture I was ever exposed to and I may have latched onto it because of that, but truthfully, I like the patches of rhetoric involved. Specifically Loki's.

But yes, no one is ever going to pretend the Golgothan was a good idea.
