Because he didn’t like the way things turned out when personal and professional mixed, Mac had a rule. Don’t be a lover at work, don’t be a cop in bed. It worked. It kept things simple. Better still, Danny understood.
Sometimes things got a little blurry, and he’d want to break the rule. He’d want to get jealous when Danny flirted, or go easy on him when he was down.
He never did. The rule was too important.
The rule meant that Mac never had to tell anyone about the tattoo on Danny’s back - the tattoo with only one date.
